Lin-Manuel Miranda Endorsed The You You Never Knew
After my publisher accepted my manuscript last summer, my fiancée, Haskiri, burst into the room while I was on a coaching call and said, “Babe, Lin-Manuel just texted me! He wants to know if you’d be open to coming into New York City a few times a week to train him.”
Without hesitation, I said, “Ahhh, yeah, of course!”
To keep this story short (I’ll share more details in a future podcast episode), after a few months of training Lin, my publisher sent me 50 early copies of my book. I immediately brought one to my next session.
“Look what came in yesterday,” I said, pulling the book out of my bag.
“Nice! It’s finally here, thank you!” he said, gently taking the book from me.
After that, I didn’t hear anything from him about it—and I never asked. To be honest, I didn’t expect anything. Just having the opportunity to coach him was more than enough. My only intention in gifting him the book was to share something I poured my heart into—nothing more.
But then, Haskiri burst through the door—the same way she did last summer while I was on another coaching call. This time, I was confused and a little anxious, bracing for news that might not be good. Her face said it all—eyes wide, eyebrows lifted, mouth slightly open as she moved toward me in slow motion. Without saying a word, she raised her phone and pointed the screen in my direction.
Trying my best to stay professional on my call, I hesitated, knowing Haskiri would never interrupt unless it was something important.
Then I saw it—an image of my book with a caption that read:
"Very proud of my friend @begreatwitnate and his new book, The You You Never Knew. We talk a lot about making miracles happen to get to do what we love, but Nate is a living embodiment of that drive and purpose, and it’s all in these pages. Proud proud proud."
Then it hit me. I glanced at the username.
I didn’t expect this at all. But then again, I did.
I’m not sharing this to show off or make it seem like I’m cool because Lin endorsed my book. I’m sharing it to show you how life works.
Most of you know how challenging this journey has been for me. I’ve been open about my struggles—walking away from LA, losing close family and friends, having my biggest social media account wiped out, failing my manuscript’s final draft five times, and spending most of 2024 in the hospital, standing by both parents, unsure if I was going to lose them.
And now, even after all of that, my publisher and I are still being turned down by media outlets who won’t take a chance on me or my book.
But none of this is new to me. And if you’ve ever been doubted, overlooked, or forced to push through circumstances beyond your control, I know it’s not new to you either.
Here’s the thing—I never let these setbacks shake me to the point where I start doubting myself, drowning in my emotions, or questioning the universe—GOD.
So, I say that to say this: No matter what you’re going through, focus on what you can control. Your thoughts, actions, and habits shape your character.
And your character is your universal profile.
Just like social media has user profiles that interact with followers and an algorithm that decides what content gets shown, the universe works in a similar way. In fact, I believe most, if not all, technology is inspired by how the universe already operates—but that’s a conversation for another day.
What I’m trying to say is, your character aligns with the zero-point field, which then brings back to you what you put out.
If you let negative feedback, bad circumstances, and a victim mindset define you, then your thoughts will lean negative. You won’t feel inspired to be courageous. You won’t have the self-discipline to achieve your goals. And your character won’t align with the energy field you need to attract the things you want or become the person YOU aspire to be.
So when I saw Lin-Manuel endorse my book, of course, I was excited. But I also took time that day to meditate on the simple truth that the universe doesn’t make mistakes. My journey—and yours—isn’t bad luck. It’s just different.
Not different in a bad way, but in a way that takes you on a path no one has seen before.
Only 5 Days Left Until The You You Never Knew Releases!
Yesterday, I stopped by a local bookstore to sign the pre-ordered copies my publisher and WORD Bookstore in Jersey City arranged for those who aren’t local and wanted a signed copy shipped to them.
To everyone who pre-ordered—thank you. I appreciate your support more than you know.
After posting the image on Instagram, I received a lot of DMs asking if signed copies were still available. Unfortunately, that was a limited-time offer that ended on February 14th, but if the bookstore is open to doing another round, I’ll let you know. :)
If you haven’t ordered your copy of The You You Never Knew yet, now’s the time—we’re only 5 days away! Grab yours today and be part of this journey with me.
Finish the week strong, and keep being GREAT!

Nate, I am so proud of you, I am happy to see your email come through as it came at a time when I really needed it. I met you on TikTok in 2021. I have followed you since then. I hope to read your book one day as a full-time college student, hoping to become a Social Worker. Thanks for all that you do!
